Blast From the Past

A few weeks ago I found a huge cache of vintage GW models from the late 1990s. The owner used to own a tabletop gaming shop that focused on Games Workshop games, until the economic crisis hits Indonesia on 1998. I heard about it from a friend, then I tried to contact him because: A. I think that it is such a waste and B. I really want to see old GW specialist games like Epic 40k, Blood Bowl, Gorka Morka, or Necromunda in person. I heard a lot of great things about them, but back when I started to get into this hobby, they are no longer in sale and the existing ones in eBay are very expensive.

The guy is a very busy man, but luckily he finally agreed to meet me. We met somewhere in Jakarta and look what I’ve found:

Its like they came straight from a time machine! All these goodies were kept in the dark all these times and they are still looking good as new!

The owner wanted to let go of these items, but he no longer have the time to take care of them after the crisis ended. Therefore, when I offered him my help to try to bring it out to the world once again, he agreed.

So, for the next several weeks I’m going to work to find out just exactly what are still available in the inventory. There’s a lot of stuff here, I’m not familiar to most of them, and I can only do it in my free time, so it’ll take some time. Meanwhile, please let me know if you’re interested to grab any of these items, you can contact me directly to

Now, time to work on these sprues I managed to grab and I’m gonna get Steven to teach me Epic 40k.

    1. Thanks Ichsan, may I know where do you live?

We’re having games in Playtest Games in Kemang, or Fantasy n’ Games in Taman Anggrek, or Ubergames in Modernland. If you can reach one of these places, let us know and we’ll hook you up with the others..

  1. Holy CRAP. This is a licence to print money. I’m amazed. It’s kinda hard to process from these photos… but I’d like to talk about any Chaos Space Marine or Ork stuff you have for Warhammer 40,000.
